TI2010 Cleanup Data Recovery Logs

Thread needs solution

Hi,

is it possible to cleanup the various entries (Disk Backups and File Backups) below the Recovery menu? There are a lot of entries which appropriate image files don't exist any more. I've deleted those image files from harddisk manually, however, the log entry still remains.

Is there anything like an automatic cleanup which checks if the image still exists otherwise it removes the obsolete log entry?

Oops,

it seems someone asked the same question three days before: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/12235.

OK, I could edit an XML file manually to get rid of obsolete log entries, however, my log is really big and I guess I will make some mistakes when editing the file.

What if I delete the XML file completely and add each of the image files manually? There are only, I guess 10 images left on my harddisk, so this won't be a big deal. Now, is this possible? Delete the archives.xml from harddisk and add the images again one by one?

Hello Micky,

Let me answer your question.

Yes, it it completely safe to delete Acronis database file archives.xml. In that case when you add necessary images manually, the new file will be created.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.
