TI2010 validation fails with File I/O

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I've created a job to backup a local partition to a network share using an UNC path, full credentials given. While the backup itself works (at least it seems so) the validation fails with a "File I/O error" during a consolidation step as it seems.

I'm using a backup file name with the date macro in it: \\buffalo\backup\!PortableApps\PortableApps_R@date@.tib
I wonder why the log shows up a backup filename with a GUID/UUID in it like: \\buffalo\backup\!PortableApps\PortableApps_R14.06.2010_5E8A5F6E-EA5D-477E-87E7-68D1E1CB0975.tib

Is this due to the consolidation process?

I've got many similar log entries for the same and other partitions, too, which also contain similar file names. Even at the backup location I can find such files with such a GUID in it. Is this a normal behaviour? Are those temporary file names? I've checked other failed log entries, too. All of them seemed to fail during a consolidation process.

A normal validation (without consolidation) runs with any problems according to the logs.

I've attached one of the logs where the validation/consolidation fails. The network drive is not full and I can't see any HDD errors on the target, too.

So what's the deal with this?
