TI2012 Cant restore windows 7 disk

Hi

I have a disk backup for a hard drive with windows 7 installed. When I restore the image and the system and I try to boot the system, it gets part way into the windows logo and then reboots. I am using the recovery cd.

Any hints?

Are you restoring to the same system you did the backup?

One thing that can cause that problem is if the hardware configuration changes - such as the hard drive being changed to AHCI with Windows already installed.
