TI2015 Boot Disc "Clone Drive" does not recognize drives connected to external Startech SDOCK2U33 USB3.0

Thread needs solution

Hello all, I'm new to True Image and this forum, so I apologize if I didn't submit this correctly.

I recently purchased a Startech USB 3.0 external dual HDD dock, hoping to easily clone my hard drive without having to remove it. When I connect the HDD dock and put drives in it, Windows 7 Enterprise recognizes the internal drive and the 2 drives in the HDD dock (I attached a 40GB and 80GB just so I would know which drive was which). When I boot with the TI2015 rescue disc and select "Clone Drive", I get a message that "there is only 1 drive attached". TI2015 clone disc option doesn't recognize the external drives in the dock. Now, if I attach my old Cables To Go IDE/SATA external drive connectors and attach the two external drives to it, TI2015 clone disc DOES recognize all three drives (internal + 2 externals). Oh, I did try connecting the Startech dock to different USB ports with same results.

I appreciate any thoughts, comments, or suggestions. Thank you.

If you have not upgraded to the latest version of TI 2015 (ver 6613), login to your account on the Acronis Support page, click on My Products and Doenloads, expand the listing of your product and click on Boot Media. Download the file from the download link, create new boot media from the file you downloaded and try again.

May not work but is worth a try, there are issues with some USB 3.0 device controllers and the recovery media in device recognition. If that fails your next option is to create a WinPE disk with the TI add on. The documentation describes this procedure.
