TIES: pre-command always fails

Thread needs solution

Hello

Once in a month, we make a new full-backup, after that we run an incremental backup every night. In order to keep our previous months backups, we move all existing backup files in a new directory and start with the full-backup.

To automate this, we wrote a batch-file to do the previous months file moving.

Last night, the full backup should have taken place. But it failed, telling the batch could not be run. So I investigated, but when I edit the full-backup task and test-run the batch pre-command, Acronis will tell me "test successfull". When I have the task started manually, Acronis will tell "task failed" and the eventlog tells, that the batch returned "1".

So I moved the files manually again (It's time to run the full backup), and emptied the batch file. So all lines are blank, except an "echo hello world" line. Acronis insists that this task failed.

We use build 8.203 of Acronis True Image Echo Server on a Windows Server 2008 SP2.

Can someone explain this behavior to me? I will now edit the tasks all over again and remove the pre-commands. But it would be great to have our backup automated.

Thanks and kind regards,
Stefan Stern
