TIH 2010 Restore (clone) to a different disk

Thread needs solution

I have TIH 2010 but no plus pack (no Universal Restore). I do Disk Backups of my C and D drive daily.

I have a small SSD C: drive with Windows 7 x64 Pro, and a larger RAID10 drive with most everything else; including most of my installed programs. I would like to replace the RAID array with a single, larger drive.

Can I "recover" the D: drive backup to a new drive, in such a way that Windows will recognize it properly and all my programs will run? Or do I need to do something else?

Greetings,
The data on your array is not OS or hardware dependent. If you create a back up of the partition, you can restore individual files or the entire partition to another disk or location.

Thank you. I was concerned since some programs are also installed on my D: drive (array).

(Now all I have to do is find my W7 install disc, so I'll have it in case something else goes awry).
