TIH 2011 build 5519
My upgrade from TIH 2010 to 2011 has been a complete waste of time and money. I am using Vista 32 bit and am experiencing several major bugs. I use two NAS locations on my network to backup to, which are configured correctly and are operating at optimum performance. I have contacted tech support but they do not seem to read their emails correctly and suggest solutions that i told them in my initial email that i have already tried. If the next build does not come up with a lot of fixes i will be switching to an alternative backup solution. I have completed a clean install of TIH 2011 and the 2011 plus pack. I am not your average home user I am a very experienced computer tech with many years of experience. My home computers for the most part run flawlessly and are always up to date with the latest drivers and software versions.
I am currently experiencing issues with email notifications, my settings are correct, sometimes a notification gets sent after a backup and sometimes it does not. If i open the program and check my settings the test email will fail about 75% of the time sometimes when I open the program and check my settings it will succeed. There is no pattern to this.
Backup filenames will include a 1 or (1) or (11) or 2 or a string of characters at the end of the filename. I cannot see a pattern to this except it seems to only happen when validation is set.
Email backup does not backup my Outlook 2007 message files/folders. All it will backup is User settings and account profiles.
I get a random notification when the program is loaded below various backups on the home screen that it is corrupt although it is perfectly fine.
When Save settings as default is used it sometimes deafults to something other than what i previously selected.
Randomly appearing in my backups on the home screen i will see backup tasks that are similar in name to the ones i have created but may contain a 1 (1), (11) or 2 at the end of the name without any options or schedule set. If this appears then the backup i created with a similar name shows as not being backup up yet.
At this point if i was offered a full refund i might be tempted to take it and find an alternate backup solution or at least revert back to TIH 2010.
