TIH 2011 - Date at end of backup name
Could not find a way in 2011 to get automatically the date at the and of the backup file name. Did I overlook anything?

Colin, thank you for the hint. Would have been nice of T)2011 to ask me if it should overwrite existing backups since the name without the date was the same. No word - just did it.
But since I updated to the latest build 6xxx I cannot use the software anymore. I have endless CPU and HD activity when it scans for files. Wrote a problem here already. On top of this the Acronis uninstaller destroyed almost all install entries in my system (Win7 32). Even other system things did not work afterwards. What a chaos with Acronis... Had to downgrade to version 5519 so that I could restore my damaged system!!!

John,
Don't know what happened but just for your information, you can always download the "bootalbe media" option and create an alternate bootable Rescue CD if the current Rescue CD is not available. You do not need to have TrueImage installed to use either Rescue CD.
I assumed that when you say you downgraded to 5519, you merely meant that you used a prior backup and restored your drive C back to when the 5519 version was installed.

Thank you! You are right - I restored the backup with my 5519 version on an USB stick. 5519 does not have this indexing problem. Perhaps a bug what they sadly "fixed".

I am unable to find the "Add" pop up box in TI 2011 Home as described by Colin B.
Was it part of the original program or included in a later upgrade? Also, was the "add" pop up box available in TI 2010 home?

The 'Add' option is part of 2011, i can't recall at this moment about 2010, but i don't think it was.
Could you list the sequence you are using to find the 'Add' box, perhaps some screenshots would help, if it is missing from your install.
What build are you using?
Which language version?

I am using build number 8,101 in English. Using the create backup wizard, Backup archive location, there is no "add" box available. Thanks for your help.

Timothy,
Build 8101 would mean that you have the older version 11 from several years ago.
In version 11-8101, You will have to type the info as shown in post #1.
For example, if you want the date to be added to a file name such as MiyBackup
then you would type
MyBackup__@date@__
Notice is used underscrore__ character as the divider and last two characters.
Be careful to make sure your fle name has only one .tib and it will (should) be added by the program without you typing it.
