TIH 2011 not working with dual boot

I see many posts about creating a dual boot system but nothing about TIH not working after creating a dual boot. I have bodth TI 2010 and 2011 working fine on single boot systems. BUT, as soon as I installed W7 on my XP system as dual boot then TI quit working. Any time I create a backup of my C: drive or other system partition it says that the backup is corrupt just before it finishes. I uninstalled TI2011 and reinstalled TI2010 and 2010 will at least finish the backup with no errors but then if I try to restore it then tells me that the image is corrupt. If I try to restore using the Acronis bootable media the image will restore just fine. It seems as though there is something with the MBR that TI does not like. I am not using the Acronis OS Selector app but am using the Windows dual boot menu. I have not contact Acronis support yet but wanted to check here first.

Anyone have any suggestions?

almost exactly what i just searched for. i have dual boot windows 7 and Zenwalk 6.4 linux. after installing the linux distro, my f11 option is gone.

i'm hoping that re-enabling the f11 option in windows will re-write the mbr?

was looking for info on backing up and restoring a dual boot system and this topic seemed closest to what i searched for.

hope i'm not considered stealing the thread as any info posted here to op's topic will help also.
