TIH reports dest disc is smaller than source, when it isn't

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I've been trying to clone a 600GB drive onto a 2TB drive using TrueImage Home 2010. Unless I use the 'As Is' option, I get the message that the destination drive is smaller than the source...which, of course, it isn't.

I'm booting off the CD and trying to clone a Windows 7 system disc. Even if I install TrueImage into Windows I and try a clone, I get the same response. According to the website, the 2010 version can deal with drives up to 2TB, so this should not be an issue...but seemingly it is!

Cheers,

Gerald.

Hello Gerald,

as the workaround you may want doing a backup then restoring the backup to the new disk instead of cloning. I've also found a discussion that deals with a similar issue and might be helpful https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-true-image-home-forum-older-versions/problems-cloning-disk
