TIH2010: automatically new backup after i.e. 30 incrementell backups

Thread needs solution

Hello expert users
We're using TIH2010 Build 7'046.
Where can I tick the option, that TIH 2010 automatically starts a new full/incrementell backup after it has been doing i.e. 30 incrementell backups. Afterwards, the old 30 incrementell backups should be deleted automatically as well. It worked with TIH 2009.

Thank you very much in advanced.

Check out the user manual Secvt 9.3.4 which is
Optional settings/Backup Method.
This is very similar to prior version as well.

I would encourage you to create full backups more frequently. Remember the rules of recovery regarding incrementals.

When you select an incremental to recover, all prior backups must be in good condition (not corrupt such as lost data bytes, etc).
For example, lets assume that you create a full backup on the day 1 and then daily incrementals each day to the 31.
In order for you to restore the entire day 31 (which is all backups), then all 31 must be good. If the the backup file for day 3 cannot be read, then you cannot restore days 4-31 as the chain of backups have a broken chain (#3).

The ruiles for differential type backups are much different. You only need the first full backup plus the single differential from a day of your choice. One differential does not depend upon another. The only chain that exists is the full plus any differential of your choice.

Dear Grover

Thank you very much for your advise.
I checked it and try it out.
