Too many activations.

Thread needs solution

I have an older computer that crashed on me. It had Acronis True Image Home 2012 on it. I re-installed the operating system (Windows 7 Ultimate) and re-installed Acronis 2012. I created a new account to register my software since I forgot my login information from so many years ago. The registration seemed to go well and everything seemed fine until I went to activate my software. I get a message at the bottom of my screen telling me that I have too many activations. How do I resolve this problem? The software is legit and had only been activated once. Can anyone help me resolve this problem? I thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello Michael, the issue here is that you have created a new account to try to register your ATIH 2012 software to when it has already been registered to a previous account, hence the error message you are seeing.

If you can remember or even guess at your old emaill address that you might have used when you originally registered this product, then you should be able to go to http://www.acronis.com/en-us/my/remind/ and see if you can recover you old account details.  The difficulty here will be if you can no longer access emails sent to your old email address.

If this doesn't work then you will need to contact Acronis via http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/contact-us.html and explain the issue there - you will need to provide the serial number of the ATIH 2012 product and an indication of the account details where it was registered first etc.
