Trial will not function. Cannot back up drive.
I downloaded the trial and installed. I installed over my previous version, V10, (yes 10, its worked flawlessly this entire time). I did get a message after install & reboot that it detected my older version and needed to reboot again to in order to do 'something' (cant remember) to allow the new version to be the one windows uses or something like that.
I'm not new to Acronis products, but when I select "Disc and Partition Backup" I do not have ANY (as in blank screen) drives to select from to back up in any way. Its literelly blank. Nothing. I can select the destination drive with no issues, including my C drive.
I can go to "Other backups and see the drive, and that seems to work.
Any ideas?
Also, FYI I love Acronis products, but I DONT like this new cartoonish interface. What happened guys? (I guess as long as it works..... or in my case, I HOPE I can get it to work!)
I have included a screen shot of the screen in question.
Thanks for any help. I hope this is simple, looking forward to making a purchace.

Broderp,
As you appear to be running Vista or W7, I'm assuming when you say v10 you might mean 2010?
Pat L's answer will solve your problem. It was probably caused by either the snapshot driver for the previous version not being deleted, or the registry entry is in the wrong place.
Before, you use the cleaner you could just try running a repair install of 2012, which might clear the problem up by itself. Using the cleaner will delete all your tasks if you have any and stop any other Acronis softweare you have installed from working until re-installed themselves.

Nope... I mean V10. lol
As in really OLD......
It worked on my Vista machine, did what I wanted it to so I saw no need to update. I now will be going to Windows 7, and it does not work with W7. Hence my update requirement. The machine I am testing TIH2012 on is a Vista machine. I have not upgraded to Windows 7 just yet.
I will attempt the reinstall and cleaning as suggested an report back if it worked or not. (need to find the 2011 cleaner....)
Thanks!

Pat L wrote:Use the 2011 acronis cleanup utility, reboot and reinstall 2012. That solved that problem for me.
Forgive a noob, but were do I acquire this utility? I searched the downloads and all I see is full versions of programs and nothing labled '2011 Cleanup Utility'
Thanks
(I tried to repair my installation and it didn't work.)
EDIT.....I found it......need to reboot........ (Thanks again)
