Thread needs solution

I read somewhere, but can't find it, that backups should be done using the recovery disc, not windows, indicating that backups recovered using the disc may have a problem. I have a installation of version 9 (I think) on my XP machine and have created many backups under Windows environment, and recovered several using the recovery disc, without a issue....I now have TI Home 2011 installed on a new Win7 machine. I'm ready to create my 1st backup, and want to make sure it's not a problem doing it under windows with the odds a recovery will likely be using the rescue disc.

Thanks

As with your older version, making backup images while running Windows should be fine. The program is designed to do this.

It is always a good idea to boot to your Rescue Media from time to time, and do a validation of your image files to be sure the files will work okay while booted to the Rescue Media.

Many users do no install True Image at all, and only use the Rescue Media to create images, and to do restores/recovery.

You can back up your system with either method you wish, as the created images files can be used to restore from within Windows or the Rescue Media, your choice.
