True Home 10 - boot media for XP professional version 2002 SP 3

Thread needs solution

I have created the boot media through home - both directly to a CD and creating an ISO and copying it to the CD. When I try to boot from either CD and I move the cursor my system freezes. I wait and nothing happens. It does get to the Acronis main screen asking if you want to boot to windows or run Acronis.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Drew,

I understand the issue and will do my best to solve it.

The issue concerns lack of drivers under Acronis bootable disc. I have checked your account and found that you have registered Acronis True Image Home 2010 and not Acronis True Image 10.0 Home which is outdated version.

In order to solve the issue please download ISO image based on ISOLinux from your account under Registered Products and create Acronis bootable disc using third-party software. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released.

ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Check the following article for more details.

Let me know if the issue persists or you have some questions.

Thank you.
