True Image 11 backed up corruption with Win XP

Thread needs solution

Greeting! I have True Image 11 Home and backup to a second hard disk.
When I restarted my Win XP (SP3) PC, it would only start in Safe Mode.
I have a second computer, so I restored to this other PC--but now it also will only start in Safe Mode. I tried to fix it by using the Win XP Home install disk to Repair the XP installation on the 2d PC where I had just restored my True Image backup image, but nothing changed.
I used Differential Backup and verified it during one of the restores (I've done this 3 times). I think that there should be several versions of the Differential backups from each week that the Differential backup has run, but I cannot find any--when I restored I only find the one original complete backup image with no others listed, so I can't figure out how to restore from an earlier Differential backup.
What can I do?
From Win XP's Safe Mode, I tried using earlier Restore Points but it does the same thing.
Years ago I corrupted my security registry, and all the Geek Squad could do is copy the data back to the HDD after they reformatted it; I still needed to re-install everything and some things never worked right again. I took their recommendation and bought Acronis to make a disk image so I could restore it if the disk was ever damaged--well, now It's happened again and Acronis faithfully backed up the corruption along with the hard disk!

Is there anything I can do? Thanks for your wisdom!
