True Image 11 doesnt' detect my network adapter

Thread needs solution

Dear all,
I have a problem with a bootable cd of true image 11 home because it does not detect my network adapter. I tried to logon and download a new bootable media but I can't find it in my selection product download. How can I fix my problem?
Thank you & Best regards
Andrea

You don't say how old or new your network adapter is, if it is recent then it is probable that the Linux drivers on your CD do not recognise the adaptor. If you can log into your account you should be able to download the latest build (8101) of TI together with the Bootable Media file, assuming that you have registered it.

However if you already have build 8101 installed and made the rescue CD from within TI the n you appear to have only two options:-

1) Contact Acronis support with the details of your network adapter and hope they will give you a link to a newer .iso, Acronis moderators have said on this forum that TI 11 is now no longer supported.

2) Download the trial version of TI 2010 install it and burn the rescue CD and see if that works, note that the trial version CD only allows you to restore an image so you will have to purchase an upgrade if you wish to use it to its full extent. Once you register TI 2010, you will be able to download an .iso of the latest Bootable Media file, which is updated more frequently than the Windows version

Since it is now many months later, I assume that today I should try the free trial of 2011 instead?

I have a 2 year old HP EliteBook notebook (8730w) with an Intel 82567LM Gigabit adapter built in.
I already tried the most recent build of TI11 and that didn't help.
How can a network card be an issue?
Are there really that many different ones that a different/separate Linux driver is required?

Should I expect anything better from the most recent 2011 release?

I'll let you know what I find.
