True Image 11 Need help making Restore DVD Image

Thread needs solution

Hi. A.T.I ver 11 was recommended to me over the others. I have windows XP 64 bit on an SATA drive.

I  use Norton Ghost 10 for my win xp 32 bit OS, but it won't work the above setup.

All I want to do is make a complete image backup of my whole OS partition and all so I can pop that in the dvd drive to reinstall the whole OS after a virus or such. I have no need to make any backups on a regular basis as I just burn all applications to dvd for backup archives.

I have read through some of your user manual and I am more confused than ever. If Norton Ghost 10 would do the job I wouldn't hesitate to use it in a heartbeat.

Someone point me to the "Create Whole Partition Image" button and tell me where I can tell it to write this backup straight to a DVD then I will be out of your hair. I am sure I can figure out how to restore the darn thing after that, As I am sure it will boot and install right from the DVD right?

Oh and BTW, I have no extra hard drives and I don't have extra double space on my drive to put a copy of an image on (Thats why its got to go right to dvd) and 'this business about repartitioning my drive so it can have a "safe Zone" for the backup copy is for the birds. Even if I had a drive big enough I would not let any program do that. Such nerve you have!

Well folks sorry to say but I got tired of waiting and went looking for a free, open source or other type of solution. I found one.. for Free.

I just used Macrium Reflect Free Edition to make a ghost like image of my whole system and restore it in less than 15 minutes. It was only 8.25 gigs, just the  Windows Xp 64 bit OS and a few chosen applications but this free tool made an image backup direct to DVD and it only took 4 minutes to back up as well as only used 2.72 gigabytes of a 4.7 gig DVD. That is truly some awesome and fast compression they use there. Only took me about 6 minutes to restore the image and it had no problem with my 64 bit OS or my SATA drive running in AHCI mode. So it took me 5 minutes to read the documentation and 10 minutes from start to finish to do the job. Unlike your product, this product was extremely easy to use and it is Free for life, no trail version, and still is free at Download.com. I suppose I won't be needing your help anyway. I seriously doubt you could tell me anything about True Image that would do a better faster job than this program did.
