True Image 14 - backup failures

Thread needs solution

True Image 14 - build 6688

I've running on this computer for over a year - backing up to an external drive - I've been having random failures for a while, and decided to start fresh, I deleted all my backups and created new file and partition backups. I have a lot of partitions. Most of the backups seem to work - but not all the time.

The file backup for my I partition always fails - creates a TLB file and then fails, opening the TLB - it's corrupt.

An error occurred while opening the backup archive. Cannot continue the operation because the backup is corrupted, or it is being used b

The drive backup of I is ok.

The C: backups have the same problem. Other drives mostly work, but sometimes have to be run twice.

IF I add parttion J: and only select a few files from I: _ then it works

Bob, difficult to say what your problem may be without any information from the logs created for the task where these errors are reported.

I would recommend running a CHKDSK /F against each of your drives / partitions to ensure you have no file system errors on either you source or backup target drives.
