True Image 14 No longer doing backups: error code 3
I am posting this ini the 2015 Forum as I can't find a 2014 Forum. If I have to move this question, please advise.
Error Code 3: Subscription to Acronis Cloud not activated yet.
How do I activate the subscription and why do I need it to Acronis True Image 14 if I've never used it before? I back up to an external hard drive.
Also, I don't seem to be able to get into settings for my backups to see if the setting got changed to backing up to the cloud somehow.
Since 2014 I have been saving backups to files that I update regularly. I have been having problems since December 2016, with it working sometmes and not at other times.
Please advise. I am not sophisticated enough to upgrade the software and figure out how to re-program it. I had a consultant help me three years ago and can no longer reach him.

Thank you Steve. I did as you suggested. After clicking on repair, it looked like it reinstalled ATI2014 as I got a message that said: Component installation Complete on the top and ATI2014 has been successfully installed in the message area. On the bottom it says "start application" and "finish." I cllicked on "start application" and nothing happened. Then I clicked on Finish and nothing happened. I tried clicking on the desktop icon and got the message "True Image is not installed." I got the same message when clicking on the program directly. (BTW, I am using Windows 10.)
I'm taking a break. I'll try to download the program and click on Repair the Application again and see if get better results next time.
Is there anything else I should know before starting the process again?

Michele, ok, with Windows 10 then ATIH 2014 is not officially supported for installation and you may be seeing the Microsoft compatibility program stopping it from being installed.
ATIH 2014 will work with Windows 10 as other users have shown, but it can be an issue getting it to reinstall if it wasn't already installed when you upgraded to Windows 10 and needs to be reinstalled.
You may need to stop the Program Compatibility Assistant Service while you try the Repair install again - to do this:
Open the Windows Task Manager (right-click on the status bar then select from the list shown), then open the Services tab and you will see a Services button at the bottom of the page. Click on the Services button which will open the Services control panel window. In this Window find the Program Compatibility Assistant Service then right-click on this and take the option to Stop the service.
See KB 56196: Windows 10 support in Acronis products for the official statement from Acronis.
