True Image 2009 Backup Validation

Thread needs solution

Hi there,

I'm using Acronis True Image on two machines

- a TI 2010 on a Vista 64 Ultimate SP2
- a TI 2009 on a Vista 64 Home Premium SP2

There are identical backup strategies - do incremental backup once a day on System Start to a separate harddisk, consolidate after 6 days, validate any backup made.

Since the 2010 install works great with this, the 2009 install will fail constantly doing the second backup (= the first real 'incremental' one). The error occurs always within backup validation, saying

'Details:|Das Archiv ist beschädigt. (0x70020)| Tag = '0xF5F8CBCF76155638Aktion mit der Partition "0-0" wurde abgebrochen.|'

The Build of TI 2009 is 9809 (Nov. 2009), german version.
The disk is a Samsung SP2504C ATA drive running fine (I also have a copy of my MailStore there, without problems). Write-Cache is explicitely deactivated to avoid any possible data loss.

Could you please help me? Thanks - Jürgen

Hi, I suggest you to take a look at http://kb.acronis.com/content/1517 To be precise this scheme should help http://www.acronis.com/r/support/en/kb/254/troubleshoot.corrupt.htm

In most cases it is related either to corrupted RAM or to the connection with the HDD you are backing up to (as far as i understood you are using external drive)

I'm using Acronis Home 2010 Backup on a computer with Windows XP. When I initiate an incremental backup, the first backup shows as successful (green) on the calendar. All the following backups appear to occur correctly (without errors) when I review the backed up files on the Acronis website. However, the calendar schedule shows them as failed (red). What would cause this? I'm running Acronis on a second computer with Windows 2007, and don't have this problem on that computer.
