True Image 2009 Home and CF-Card Image

hi community i have a problem with true image 2009 and bootable cf-cards which i'm unable to solve.
i have a micro pc with a cf-card mounted as drive c: (system and boot device filesystem is ntfs) i tried to make an image of that device in a second pc runnig windows xp and ti2009 fileversion 12.0.0.9608 the image was created without errors via my computer and then image of drive (f:) which is the card reader, restoring the image to a different cf-card of same size finished with no errors, the data seems to be on the cf-card since browsing shows all the files, but the micro pc is not starting from that cf-card, it recocnizes the cf-card as a drive and tries to read it - then it just says "read error" and quits booting.
does anyone have an idea whats going wrong here?
