True Image 2010, Build 7046 Backup Log Errors
I decided to check the log of recent backups and have a question about the results. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
Backup Objective: Create a full scheduled backup of a single c: partition to a separate internal d: drive. This backup is named 999999.tib and is scheduled to run at 3:00 AM daily, over-writing the existing file of the same name.
Results:
1. I have the same result on an old PC running Windows XP, SP3 32-bit. This PC has now been removed from service and is being dismantled.
2. The file created looks OK but I have not tried to restore it. It seems to validate and I can mount and unmount in Windows.
3. As can be seen in the attached image the initial steps in creating the backup show two failures and then the process continues and appears to be successful.
4. Re-creating the task has not helped.
5. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated. My confidence in this build is now somewhat reduced.

You attachment appears to show two different tasks. The first one at 03:00:02 fails and the second, Autobackup at 03:00:04 runs successfully.

I understand your reply and agree with you. However there is only one task so I can't explain the log entry.

EDIT: Checking this again I find that running that same task manually (no changes or editing) produces a backup tib file without the error messages. I therefore have to believe that there is something wrong with the scheduler in this build.

Hello all,
Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
There are two possible causes:
- You are trying to run an Acronis True Image task under a Windows user account different from the one the task was created;
- The original task script (*.tis) was removed from the appropriate Scripts folder.
Please see this article for information on how to fix the issue.
Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.

Following up to my previous postings and following the Knowledge Base article #1785, I downloaded file script_fix.zip unzipped it and ran file script_fix.vbs. Confirmed that all tasks and log entries had been deleted. Created a new scheduled task without a password as before and manually ran the task. It worked perfectly and the validate was successful. The log entry displayed correctly. I waited until this same task (there is only one) ran as scheduled. The log entries showed similar errors as before but the resulting tib file seems to be OK. I had a friend do the same on a Windows XP Home Edition SP3 PC and he found similar errors in the log file.

If you use a password does the scheduled task run without errors at its appointed time? I'm pretty sure you need a password to run scheduled tasks on Windows.

If you have a "no such script" error, this fix took care of the same error for me.

GroverH-
I would like to thank you also for providing your posting. I had not run through the process using schedmgr.exe. I ran it a short while ago and did the task delete on the old ones. Will see what happens tomorrow morning when my one scheduled task runs but from what I see it looks good.
Once again I thank you for your very helpful suggestion.
Bruce
EDIT: Well, I let the task run when scheduled but it produced the same errors as before. Running schedmgr.exe again I am able to delete the undesirable tasks as before. This was confirmed by running schedmgr.exe once again. If however I close things down and re-boot the PC the offending tasks re-appear.
