True Image 2010 HD Clone Hangs up at 7%

Thread needs solution

Acronis® True Image Home 2010 - I am quite familiar with the DOS version and have had problems with Windows-based versions working correctly in the past. This version also has some issues.
I attempted to Clone my HD and the process proceeded fine with a re-boot to DOS, progressing until it functionally stopped at 7% completion. I pressed a single key on the keyboard and Cloning continued but again stopped now at 15%.
Unlike a few nights ago when I successfully completed a Clone process without this issue, I see no logical reason for this with the Windows-based 2010 version. There are no messages indicating that there is a problem, nor is there a message prompting me to press any button to continue.
Just to back up (no pun intended) a bit, the HD I am trying to Clone is 1-Tb which with the DOS version takes about 8 hours. After 12 hours and what appered to be cessation of the Clone process that I mentioned above, only 7% was complete. Finally, I am saying that it stopped progressing at 7% without my prompting because the HD LED was extinguished; there was no read/writing occurring.
Thank you for your help,
Bill
