True Image 2010 not working on new system

Thread needs solution

I just assembled a new system:
Asus P8Z68-V motherboard, i7-2600K, 8 GB Gskill 2133 DDR3, Radeon HD 5670 video, XP Pro SP3, 32-bit installed under IDE (not AHCI)

When I try to clone the XP build, booting off the True Image 2010 CD, it finds NO HARD DRIVES.
If I change the BIOS to AHCI, it clones the drive, but the image is corrupted.

I tried to download the trial version, and got only errors -- repeatedly. Even after turning off Norton 360.

Question: Will True Image 2012 clone properly on my system? I want certainty before buying. Otherwise, I will use a free clone program.

You cannot be certain that any imaging software runs on a particular system, because imaging software use low level drivers that need to support the hardware.
You will have to try.

I have a Gigabyte MoBo with Z68 drive controllers. I use TI Home 2010 which does not find disks as it came. I have to use bootable media with Z68 drivers added with WinPE to restore which is slow loading.

If I upgrade to TI 2013, will my MoBo be supported with drivers included out of the box?
