True Image 2011 won't save settings
Hi,
I am backing up my office computer with TI 2011 for quite a while now.
A couple of days ago I wanted to edit some settings (e.g. email notification) of my backup task but had to realize that TI 2011 doesn't offer me the option to save those new settings: the button is there but it is deactivated. An update to the newest build did not solve the problem.
The backup summary is telling me, that there is not enough space in my secure zone, which is located on a seperate HDD. Although it is basically correct that I cannot use the remaining space for a full backup my task is set up do do incremental ones. For that it should be more than enough space because the task runs successfully for months that way.
So I took one of the two partitions of my main drive out of my backup task. Now TI 2011 was "pleased" with the remaining space and it let me change and save my email settings.
What I wasn't able to do was adding that one partition to my task again. To solve that issue I removed my Acronis Secure Zone and recreated it. In order for TI 2011 to realize, that the ASZ is empty I had to restart TI 2011, edit that task and put the new ASZ as the target.
My backup task should work again now and tell me about it (at least I hope so) but at what cost? I had to erase my existing backups in order to edit some more or less backup relevant settings.
I am not sure if newer versions of TI have the same problem, but if so this should be changed.
I should be able to edit and save my backup settings no matter what the program "thinks" about the remaining disk space, especially since TI doesn't regard the settings for the kind of backup.
If TI 2011 is still supported (and updated) please change it there too.
