True Image 2013 and Migrate Easy

Thread needs solution

Recently, I purchased True Image 2013 as I would like to take all measures to secure and back up my system hard disk. I regularly make a clone copy of my hard disk that is bootable and allows me to continue my work without loss of time. I considered True Image 2013 the more up-to-date program to accomplish this task and so I replaced my old Migrate Easy by it. But to my surprise, several items have changed and in total I had the impression that the Clone Harddisk of True Image was less performing than the version of Migrate Easy. I was even more surprised when all of a sudden, True Image 2013 announced 8 defect sectors on my harddisk. So I stopped the copying process and reinstalled Migrate Easy. This version only showed 1 defect sector, so I suppose the other ones where copied without problem. By installing Migrate Easy, it seems that I destroyed the installation of True Image, so the two versions cannot not co-exist on the same disk. So what is your advice? Make backups instead of clones? How much time does it take to restore a backup of about 400 Gigabyte?
Should I keep True Image anyway?

Definitely do backups instead of clones. Restoring a backup takes about the same time as doing the backup.
