True Image 2013 Automatic back up doesn't run

Thread needs solution

In True Image 2013 running on Vista 64-bit, the automatic back up I've set up doesn't run. It will run manually.

There are two warnings in my log, both repeat regularly:
Error while opening configuration file. 0xAA145495CA4E42B3
Failed to find information about operating system in Master Boot Record. 0xF5E7A826719852C5

Does anyone have advice on how to fix this?

Arthur,

I have seen the same configuration file error on Win7 64-bit. This could be caused by some delay that eventually doesn't affect the functionality.

For the MBR record, you should follow the instructions here to repair the MBR: http://kb.acronis.com/content/1507

Hello,
I have the same Problem as Athur with Acronis True Image 2013 and Windows 8.
It does indeed affect funktionality because the automatic backup doesen t work.

Jochen,

At this moment the problem you are having with Windows 8 is known to Acronis, there is a thread somewhere around here dedicated to this. I don't think the problem with W8 is related to that of this posters Vista, but if more Vista people begin to report a scheduling problem it might turn out they are.

i have resolved the problem with the disable of fast boot function on Windows 8.

i think this error be because Windows 8 use for the fast boot a sort hybernate and i think when this function is enable the pc start and the acronis scheduler see the backup is already done and don't start.......

before i disable the fast boot i try to start the pc e then before the time of backup i restart the pc and all is ok but if i shutdown and the start backup don't start.

i hope this is a good information for all

Thanks Ivan, that is useful to know.

Same issue on Window 7 Pro 64 bit. After upgrading to Acronis 2013 the automatic backups stopped working and I started getting the "Failed to find information about operating system in Master Boot Record". Also, when I upgraded, the new version listed all the incremental and full backups as versions so now Acronis thinks I have 26 versions, not 4. I'm certainly not going to pay for support or consider going to the 2014 version when there so many of this same problem and Acronis does nothing to address it.

I have had extensive help from GroverH but so far nothing has worked. forum.acronis.com/forum/55681#comment-171528
