True Image 2013 - I need big help
I still have the operating system Windows XP - SP3 on a PC and do not want to change the system to W7/W8.
The example of what I can do in Windows 7 in another personal laptop:
intended to back up the System Image Windows XP with your True Image 2013, which I have already installed the trialware version.
Also, as I do on the laptop, I can back up the system to DVD's?
But I also have an external hard drive 2.5 "usb with enough capacity.
Where it is recommended to backup?
I just want to burn up the system to restore the pc on error.
I've seen the manual, but my English is bad
From what I read and why I only make a recording of 3 in 3 months, I can reverse the single license of True Image to two other computers in the same network to back for the same period? I just need to create Acronis account?
In the external disk 2.5 "What should I do to allow separate backups of 3 pc's in case you need to restore the system from either pc?
I apologize for such inconvenience and poor English translation of google.
Thank you sincerely for your help, to then buy the license and start working on this safety concern of my 73 years old, who hardly let me sleep.
greetings

Só gostaria de fazer os backups dos sistemas dos 3 pc's, em vez do disco completo. É possível?
Num eventual crash do sistema posso recuperar através desses backups?
É possível que necessite de mais informações, agradeço disponibilidade. Obrigado.

Just like to make backups of systems of 3 pc's instead of the entire disk. Is it possible?
A possible system crash can recover through these backups?
It is possible that you need more information, thank availability. Thank you.

If you wish to recover after system crash or disk failure, you should create full disk mode backups as I said.
Sure, you can backup multiple PCs, but of course you would need a True Image licence for each PC. Acronis sells Family Packs which cover three PCs at a discounted price.

If you prefer of course, you can buy just one copy of 2013 and then use create or download a Recovery .iso (CD or USB thumb drive or...) to make backups of all your PCs, and actually install 2013 to only one computer (mostly to have the ability to mount any backup image and recover individual files).
Maybe the license agreement doesn't allow for this, but it is certainly do-able. Although I personally have enough licenses of various ATIH versions to more than cover my Home PCs, I actually have ATIH installed to just two of them (into Windows, that is). In doing so I miss-out on any of ATIH's automatic backup features.

I apologize for insisting on questions, but the google translation does not help much.
1 - I decided: I'll buy the TI2013 for 3 pc's. This installation is made in 3 pc's?
2 - I think backing up monthly. Would you suggest me other intervals?
3 - Assuming full backup disks: in case of crash the operating system have only possibility to recover this full backup only the operating system? My fear: replace a database of a current program for a backup a month ago. Incidentally, I do daily backups of docs, databases, etc.., And therefore do not need backup TI2013.
Fundamentally, the TI2013 want to avoid formatting disks caused by system error and have to start all start.
4 - The TI2013 lets continue to make backups in the following years, or need to buy upgrades.
Tuttle and Tomf: Thanks for everything. For any questions when installing IT can help me? Just inform me the location of the site or the manual, which can resolve the issue.

1. Yes you can install ATIH to all 3 PCs.
2. You should TRY to backup weekly, with monthly being worst case.
3. If you Restore to a month-old ATIH backup, you'll need to somehow restore all your Current document files. I use SyncBack (free) for this by-the-way.
4. I still use ATIH2010 for older PCs. If you don't upgrade your OS then ATIH2013 should last for years.
You do know that Windows XP will soon be no longer supported by Microsoft? I have a couple of WXP PCs myself, which will remain WXP PCs forever probably...
If by "installing IT" you meant "installing TI" you should find any post here by GroverH and look at his links, along with of course the ATIH manual and Help files.

Isabel,
1. Yes, you will download one installer and 3 serial numbers. You can install onto 3 PC's (Make sure you register the serial numbers to your Acronis account).
2. This depends on how much you use your computers. If you download many files during a month you might want to make an image once a week or every two weeks, it really depends on how you use your PC's. Make sure you make a complete disk image of each PC the first time you use True Image.
The default option is to make images of partitions, click on the 'switch to disk' link in True Image (you will see the manufacturers name of your disk instead of drive letters) and then make an image.
3. I'm not sure I understand completely, but, if you have for example just one disk drive in each PC and that drive is just one partition (for example C:\) you will image both the OS and your data. If you have one partition or disk for your OS and another partition or disk for your data, then yes you can just restore your OS.
4. True Image will continue working, the only time you need to upgrade is if Acronis bring out new features you want to use or Microsoft bring out a new operating system and TI 2013 won't work on it properly. It is also possible that an upgrade resolves some problems, but if you don't have a problem with True Image 2013 and you don't upgrade your OS then you can stay with 2013 forever.
Make sure you make a recovery CD and that you test it by booting your PC from it and check that it can see all your drives and your mouse and keyboard work. If you find there is a problem post back here or rasie a support ticket.

I'm reading carefully all the answers you kindly friends have provided me, but this issue is fundamental to deciding to purchase the TI2013:
Read the information in the TI2013 systems supported by the product.
The TI2013 supports my Windows XP Professional Version 5.1: service pack 3?
I think operating systems are all in c: \. How can I confirm? If the system is in c: \, the backup has to be the entire disk, but here I have a doubt:
1 - A Billing software with database, if you need to recover the disk, the data reflect the date of the backup? If you do not have a copy of the current database, lost everything?
Problem in pc: "unbootable operating system". How to recover OS?
I can not do the recovery part of the backup, for example, the image of the operating system, as installed software are all well?
Tuttle: "Creating the Bootable Rescue Media, as that is what you will use if you need to restore a backup image." Explained better, please.
Excuse my ignorance

I have an external hard drive - USB - with 298 GB NTFS. Can I use it for backups of 3 pc's? Just create the folders for each computer?
A recovery as the pc will start if the operating system does not start?
Sorry. thank you

You can use the same external HD as location for backups from all three PCs. Create a separate folder for each PC, and a separate sub-folder for each backup task if you have more than one task.
You asked about manuals. Check out the many user guides and tutorials in the left margin of this forum, particularly Getting Started and Grover's True Image Guides which are illustrated with step-by-step screenshots.
