True Image 2013 - My Documents folder listed twice in Configure file backup process window

Thread needs solution

Dear Forum Members,

I use True Image 2013 with Plus Pack on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Recently I have upgraded to build 6514 and shortly after that I noticed that My Documents folder is listed twice in Configure file backup process window.

When reconfiguring my file backup I have selected some of the sub-folders for one 'copy' of My Documents listed in the folder tree (was not sure which one to select).

Unfortunately I see no sub-folders / files from My Documents included in the resulting backup. In the Recover window My Documents folder is listed, but it is empty.

I have tried to reconfigure backup and select the other 'copy' of My Documents, but folder tree in Configure file backup process window behaves unexpectedly. Selecting check-boxes for sub-folders in one 'copy' makes check-boxes for the second 'copy' de-select somewhat randomly. Two 'copies' of My Documents seem to swap positions in the folder tree and it quickly becomes confusing preventing me from selecting anything.

I have tried to search the forum for similar reports / solutions, but no luck. Have anyone experienced similar issue / have some workaround? I appreciate any hints.

Kind regards,
Pat

Actual doc files inside the backup should be found under
c:\user\your user name\Document or My docs

1. Click on both listings you mentioned to see which has files listed.
2. Check your own computer using the above path and see if your computer has two listings.

Thanks for hints GroverH!

It seems that 'Configure file backup process' window for some reason lists NTFS junctions as well. I don't think this was the case with the build I was using previously.

Changing name for 'My Documents' folder in Windows Explorer temporarily allowed me to figure out which icon in the TI folder tree represents the 'real' path (another screenshot). I have reconfigured my backup (I had junction selected) and this helps - all expected files are included in the backup now.

Kind regards,
Pat
