True image 2014- Recover of multiple disks, no operating system found on boot
First off, I am using two HDD's and one SSD. The SSD and one HDD (500GB) are the ones that I have backups from. On the SSD is my OS, Windows 10.
I used the universal recovery in the windows desktop program to first try and restore to an earlier date (something wasn't working right, so I wanted to roll back a few weeks to see if that fixed it).
When that was all done, it came up on boot - no OS found, unplug any disks not containing OS and restart.
Well that didn't fix it. I went into BIOS and I can see all disks
I tried the bootable CD I made (Acronis Bootable Disk). Put all the partitions on the proper disks, (I think the first universal recovery tool may have put them onto the wrong disks)
Waited 8 hours for all ~750 GB to copy
Still no OS found. WTF. I am getting pissed now. All my backups were always verified by the tool, every week. I made sure to check the logs. Two years after using this program, I actually was counting on it. And WTF, let me down. What kind of backup system does this?
I am presently trying to just restore the SSD with the OS and leave my logical drive out of it for now. Although that is all my data files and pictures!
Can anyone offer any assistance please. This is time sensitive, I need my files back ASAP.

Okay. Well I am already stuck in a boot loop. It seems the universal restore has rendered my drive useless in term of booting into Windows or the recovery partition. Any ideas of how to get into the recovery partition? The boot from rescue media works to get arconis to attempt to recover my partitions. It shows the recover partition that was backed up. It just won't restore it so I can boot into Windows. All I get is the "no operating system detected....."

Hi Cameron,
2014 is not compatible or certified for windows 10. While there is a probability if success using boot media, if the partition structure is complex or otherwise non-standard, undesired results are possible.
If access to your files is time critical, you can mount the back up images in a wortking system and recover data from the images straight away.
Obviously, you've learned that UR is not to be used when recovering images to the hardware it was created from.
If the recovery of the image has in fact worked, but you cannot boot, you might want to try a start up repair using Windows install media. I assume you are referring to your windows 10 OS, but I'll state again 2014 is not compatible with this OS.

I managed to boot windows 10 using the windows 10 ISO boot disk. Thank goodness I have my important files on another drive and I have to completed wipe my OS drive. I am glad arconis sent me a memo that TI 2014 did not support windows 10.
