True Image 2014 seems to have decided that a backup file is corrupt
As a result, it won't backup any more files. I'm at a loss as to why. The drive is accessible and it does create new backup files, but I think those maybe empty. Any ideas?

Hi,
I have a similar problem I got today with Acronis 2014.
Usually i do an automatic full backup of the entire SSD system disk (W7 x64 SP1) every day, only one automatic backup per day, when the system stops the first time on the 24 hours period.
No more than 2 .tib are archived locally on my 2To backup HDD.
All this was working perfectly since several months.
Additionaly i can manually asks to do the backup if I want.
Today, when asking the 'manual' backup under W7 Acronis does not respond and nothing happen !!
Why ?
Is there a relation with a potential Acronis SERVER problem ?
Any idea will be helpful...

100PIER,
My first action would be to power down the computer for a few minutes and then restart.
This would be just in case there might be multiple instances of TrueImage.exe runnning which would prevent the backups from running.
If problem continues, I would restart the installation program and run the repair option which will copy new files onto your system.
I assume you have adequate free space for the backup being attempted.
Is the target a network drive?
Edit:
A "no action response" could also imply that the program is awaiting a user response for an error message.
Have you checked the log files for information on the issue?

Will,
When you upgraded to 2014, is the problem task once you started fresh with 2014?
Would you mind posting a screen capture of your storage disk and a picture of your main menu listing your tasks. This might help to understand your settings.

@GroverH,
A repair action has no effect to fix the problem.
The target is a local drive in my case.
I have more 1To free space on my 2To local dedicated backup HDD.
I think I have found why the "no response" occurs.
I think to a severe bug in ATI2014 Premium build 6673, agent synch 17,0,01877.
Under W7 x64 SP1 the function "erase a backup file (.tib) and its associate parameters settings" destroys effectively the local file on the HDD , BUT also destroys the NTFS structure of the entire HDD where all others backup files are located.
This NTFS perturbation is the root cause of the 'endless' 'loading and initialisation' phase following any next ATI2014 application starting.
Is this a known bug ?
to be fixed soon ?
Regards

Also run a drive checking utility from the drive manufacturer, as those sometimes catch errors missed by chkdsk.Don't connect via a hub, a port in a monitor, a USB extension cord, etc. Connect the external drive directly to a USB port on the rear of the computer case.
The drive in question is a NAS and can't be connected via USB.

No, the existing task was working fine after the upgrade, so I left it in place. It takes a long time to configure a task so some folders are excluded.

I've got the same problem.
But looking at logs I find an issue.
Sorry it's in French but file generated and consolodated is not the one validated. So True Image 2014 don't find the file !
It may help if I say backup is on remote Nas.
Please Acronis, could you look at this.
Thanks
