True Image 2015 backup stops

Thread needs solution

Here's my system:

Acronis True Image 2015, build 6525

Windows 8.1, 64 bit
32 GB RAM
512 GB Crucial MX100 SSD - reformatted to have just three partitions that Windows 8.1 makes on a clean install

Backup type: Single Version Scheme, sector by sector of C drive with the partitions

I have made multiple attempts of making a sector by sector backup using either:

Full sector by sector C drive with partitions; or

Full sector by sector C drive without partitions; and

The machine slows down and temporarily stops around 399MB; then resumes and stops somewhere around 2 to 3 GB.

First the program just stopped, causing the machine to freeze; then, I have to do a hard reboot to gain control.

Now the machine gets to about 2 to 3 GB and restarts without continuing the backup.

The research I made on the Acronis website appears to indicate a software issue with the SSDs. Is this correct?

I have tried EaseUs ToDo backup. I can make a successful backup with this program, but not a restore. I had to re-install everything to have a working machine.

So, what gives? I prefer to stay with Acronis as I have been a user since 2010 or so and never had an issue until now with version 2015.
