True Image 2015 Can't force search for back-up files
I installed True Image Home 2015 (ATI) in last 2 days and have been trying to restore files and folders from backups created using True Image Home 2014. When I start ATI it opens on the backup page and lists a lot of my backups but not all. I could not find the file I wish to restore. I have a number of external drives. I unplugged all but one to see if the list had been overloaded or something. It showed more backup files from the remaining external drive, but again not all. I was able to do one restore but still can't see the backup file I need to use to restore some additional files. Both at the original start and after limiting things to just the one external drive, I am not able to add a backup to the list. When I click the add backup button the appropriate screen opens. I can browse to the appropriate folder on the external drive and see all of the backup files, including the one I want. When I click on the file I want to add, the add button becomes live. When I click the add button I am returned to the backup screen but the file is not in the list. No message. No nothing. ATI continues to respond to my clicks so it is up and running but the file is not added to the list. Also, the information on forcing ATI to search for backup files (thinking this may get all the files in the list) specifies that, in the backup section, I should click the backup list operations icon. I don't see such an icon. Of course, there is no image to hint at what the icon looks like but no icon I can find produces the list that includes the Search now option mentioned in the help file. This is truly frustrating!

Boot from the TrueImage Recovery CD and restore the file or folder when booted from the CD.
Another option is to use Windows Explorer and browse to the pertinent tib file which contains what you want.
Double click on that specific file and a recovery window should open.
Keep clicking the bacikup path to where the file is stored.
Right click on the particular file to be copied and choose copy.
Paste wherever.
