True Image 2015 Crashed with Segmentation Fault After Booting from Rescue Disk (Windows 10)

Thread needs solution

The crash occurred after I clicked on "Browse for Backups". I captured a report on my flash drive (attached). I rebooted again, but this time I clicked on "Refresh Backups" to view my backups (which are on a USB hard drive). The second time around, I did not see the failure. Since I was able to work around the problem it is not critical to me. I'm sharing this info in case it helps others. I am on Build 6613.

I get a segmentation fault every time I try to browse for my backup USB hard drive. So much for being able to restore my laptop...

I've attached the log file.

Here's an update (5/13/16): Rebuilding the rescue CD seemed to solve the problem. I don't know if this was due to defects in the media or a newer version of True Image.

Hello HMS,

Segmentation fault indeed could be provoked by badly written bootable media. If you choose WinPE type in bootable media builder, you can prevent this issue from occurring as "Segmentation fault" is Linux-specific error and does not occur on Windows PE-based medias.
