True Image 2015 destroys dllhost BEWARE
I will never use this product again. After countless nights of trying to figure out why my brand new laptop becomes unresponsive in "my computer" i've finally found out that this Acronis true Image software is to blame. I've immediately uninstalled it and sure enough the problem still occurs. Before installing acronis I've never had the issue of "Blank icons" instead of thumbnails and a delayed/ unresponsive "my computer". This product corrupts dllhost.exe and now I constantly have to "End Task" dllhost.exe to get things back to normal (thumbnails then show, my computer unfreezes). This is for those who are experiencing this issue. Keep away from this Acronis product.
Specs: Windows 7 64bit
Toshiba intel i7

Could you please attach your acronis system report?
If you need to reach Acronis, go to www.acronis.com/support or www.acronis.com/ppi
You may want to temporary disable your antivirus from msconfig and from services to make sure that nothing else is accessing the disk.
There is a $20 fee for PPI but they only charge that if it is not a defect, and if they can solve your issue.
E-mail and other types of support are free.
Also, keep in mind that many of us used acronis true image 2015 on windows 7 successfully, although I'm just a consultant so don't have as much direct experience.
But getting a system report is the fastest way to resolve this issue.

P.S Have you tried disabling Acronis in services and seeing if system performance bounces back? That gives you a couple of things you can try -- one at a time.

The steps I am taking to resolve my issue are similar, except I also did a validation, but that's probably overkill.

"I've immediately uninstalled it"
As mentioned earlier... I no longer have Acronis installed and would not be able to provide a acronis system report. Acronis altered dllhost.exe and even after uninstalling the problem exist.
