True Image 2015 freezes

Thread needs solution

Acronis True Image freezes with "application not responding" now. Even task manager can't stop the process. I have to power cycle. It started happening after I installed a new SSD, a Crucial MX100 512 gigabyte, only occaisionally. Then I updated to to latest Intel RST drivers and now it happens every time Acronis does a backup. The backup is just "disks and partitions" from the MX100 to a (single, non-RAID) spinning disk.

I would just roll back to the earlier RST drivers, but since I was having the problem anyway I checked the web and others are complaining about Acronis freezing with the MX100. So checking if this is a known bug and if a fix is on the way. In the meantime, Acronis is useless.

Acronis build 6525
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Crucial MX100 512 gbyte boot drive
1 RAID 1 (mirror) drive (two matched spinning disk for safe keeping of bulk stuff)
1 spinning disk internal for backup
8 gbytes of memory
Intel I5 (not overclocked)

There have been a good number of reported freeze/lockup issues reported with Crucial SSD's, this problem has been elevated to the developers but to my knowledge no solution has been reached at this time.

James,

Please PM Anna Trifonova via PM about your issue. It seems that a new snapapi has been released that works on some users machines.
