True Image 2015 won't recognize my boot drive (says unsupported drive)
I Upgraded my Dell XPS 18 from Windows 8.0 to Windows 8.1 and now True Image 2015 (which worked initially) will not recognize my 500 GB boot drive or the 32 GB SSD drive! In addition, I cannot restore my backed up Windows 8.0 because during the restore it greys out the entire 500 GB boot drive saying it's unsupported! So I can't restore my Windows 8.0 backup nor can I backup the new Windows 8.1 install!
That's nuts. And when I upgraded it wiped out my 32GB Intel Rapid start installation and apparently the SSD drive as well. And the Intel rapid start application will not longer install either.
Acronis is losing me again. I get tired of finding backups corrupted, unable to restore as it won't recognize a boot drive (that's the original hard drive as installed by Dell on the XPS 18), or an external drive, etc.
I tried Paragon and it's able to see my boot drive (7 partitions or 6 not sure) and is doing a backup currently.
In addition, when I installed the Acronis True Image 2015 my system would boot from legacy meaning the boot partitions would boot via BIOS. But it won't any more. Now it only boots from UEFI Windows Boot manager (bootloader missing in BIOS now--the entire sections is gone).
What the heck?
