True Image 3014 Error 225, winload.efi file missing, can't boot after recovery of Full Backup

Thread needs solution

I am having a problem getting my computer to boot up after using Acronis True Image 2014 to restore a Full Backup (Partitions and Data). It boots to a "blue screen" with error 225 "a required device is not connected or cannot be accessed". Pressing Enter again to retry results in error 225 but a different message " ...a required file is missing or contains errors. File: \Windows\System32\winload.efi.

I currently cannot access the recovery tools on the Win8 install disk, or reinstall Win8 from that disk--it freezes after the Win8 logo disappears. The mouse is still active, but there is no cursor and no message on the screen. The only disk I have that I can boot into is the Acronis disk--which does not have any recovery tools!

I saw that someone else in the forum had this issue and apparently there is a hot fix for it? Is this a standard fix, or a customized one? If it's a standardized fix, where can I download it from? Thank you for your assistance!
