True Image appears to be running in the background - how do I stop it

I have true image 11 build 6696

When I run a backup to an external drive it completes and validates correctly. I then try to disconnect my external drive but the disk says a programme is still accessing the disk. But there is no other programme open on my PC. It appears as if there is background validation going on even though True Image is closed. If I open True Image nothing appears to be running but the log shows an additional validation is taking place. I cant find any recognisable tasks running in task manager. The only solution appears to be manually disconnect the disk or log off.

I have no other backups scheduled on acronis. This problem never happens with my external drive unless I run true image so I am pretty certain the fault is connected with TI somehow

My PC is running windows 7 SP1.

OK I think this is related to the other thread on validation - it was only a guess that it was validation from looking at the log but it appears to be the case.
