I don't see any place to post questions regarding Echo so I'll post it here. Does anyone have any idea why the TI Echo Workstation (last build) would stall half way through installation on an XP Pro system located on a RAID0 drive?

Hello Turbines!

Thank you for finding time to open the thread regarding this question, I will be glad to assist you. Since Acronis True Image Echo Workstation is related to Acronis True Image family I have movedthe thread to the respective Forum.

There can be several reasons for this problem, so we will need to take a closer look. But before we get started with investigation, please make sure that

  1. Services are stated.
    The following services should be started: Volume Shadow Copy, COM+ System Application, Distributed Transaction Coordinator (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services).
  2. Temp folder is clear
  3. Antiviruses, Firewall and any other third party software is disabled on the moment of installation

Should everything be set as mentioned, and the issue persist, we'll need some additional information. Could you please kindly gather the following: 

  1. Dr. Watson Crash Dump (it can be collected even if the process stalls)
  2. MSI log
  3. Procmon output
  4. Screenshot of the issue.

After that please contact support directly with information attached, and let us know the case number so that we could make sure it is taken care of properly.
