True image hang

Thread needs solution

Went to shutdown computer last night, screen says "Acronis True Image is terminating the current operations, please wait. The computer will be turned off automatically in about two minutes." 8 hours later it still says the same. Restarted several times, but can't get rid of it! Tried F2 and F12 at start but still reverts to same message. Was not doing anything with True Image at the time of shutdown. HELP! it just won"t go away

I suspect that you have run into the same problem I have on two computers. The scheduled job gets queued but doesn't run so it is just sitting there. The way I get around this is: I run Acronis and stop the queued backup. Then with Task Manager I delete the background processes "Acronis Scheduler 2", Acronis Scheduler Helper (32 bit)", "Acronis True Image Notify (32 bit)", "Acronis True Image Service (32 bit)". You can then start Acronis and select Backup Now and my guess is it will work. My backups work one or two days and then they go into this queued state. I've been using Acronis for years and I think it is ridiculous that they want me to spend money to talk to support. I took the money and bought EaseUS.

I have also been getting this message upon shutting down my PC. I am using version 2015 only for cloning my hard drive. I am not using it for any backup purposes other than for cloning. Occasionally, I get this message when I manually shut down the PC. There is no way I can exit the message. The task manager isn't available and there are no buttons on the screen. I can wait for an hour or so and manually kill the power to the PC to shut it down. When I next boot the PC I do not get the expected Abnormal Shutdown message. It boots right into Windows 7 as expected and the message is gone. This happens only occasionally. I cannot find any reason for the problem since I have not been running any Acronis functions during the booted up session of the PC prior to the shutdown attempt.

Any ideas, suggestions?
