Using build 6597 on Win7x64 a system disk backup to WHS (Windows Home Server) fails.
File backups work OK to WHS and system disk backups on local PC and to WDTVLIVE media server work fine.

The system backup to WHS fails on Validation - tried to do a system disk recovery to check if backup was ok - screwed up system and then had to recover from local backup.

Conclusion build 6597 appears to work ok except for system backup to WHS - hope they fix this soon!

Update:-

Checked with Win7x32 and this works ok, so the fault appears to be limited to running on Win7x64.

My bad, dev-anon, thank you for pointing out. I'm very sorry for the confusion caused. I'll add the my first post to avoid future misunderstanding.

In such case there can be several reasons: 

  1. Bad connectivity to the target location
  2. Corrupted target location

Ray, could you please run the checkdisk on the Home Server just to localize the issue? (Go to Start -> Run -> cmd, issue there the following command: chkdsk /f /r and reboot the machine. It will check the drives for error upon Start up).

Should the issue remain, please gather and send me the following information:

  1. Acronis Info from the source machine
  2. Acronis Reports from the source and the target machines
  3. Wireshark

This will help to shed the light to the situation.
