True Image Home 2010 phantom error message in log

Thread needs solution

I have a scheduled full backup of my C drive every day. which shows in the log every day with "Operation has succeeded". It is the only scheduled task.

But on July 25 a non-existent failing task started showing up in the log every day as well. Any idea how I can get rid of this? I have attached a screen shot of the strange log entry.

There is no task scheduled to run at 1:05 AM. There used to be one but it was deleted on July 25 because it was reporting "target drive running out of space", "Canceled", "Terminated by user". I created a new task and deleted that one, and reconfigured the error handling so it doesn't do an unattended abort in the middle of the night.

Apparently there is a ghostly remnant of the 1:05 task somewhere. Perhaps someone can tell me where to search for that.

Aside from this oddity the program works perfectly and has rescued me many times.

I think problem is solved. Will know tomorrow.

Well, the phantom failing task is gone. But this morning I found a new error in the log. I then successfully ran the task manually. Here is the error:

Created: Sunday, August 01, 2010 8:00:01 AM Details: Scheduler failed to run task "System_C" with GUID '80139550-1A98-4C36-93DC-F95483CB829C' because of error 1327

(Logon failure: user account restriction. Possible reasons are blank passwords not allowed, logon hour restrictions, or a policy restriction has been enforced). More information can be found at: http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/ Event code: 0x0009052F

This was a Windows error message from the scheduler. Solved by rebooting (my PC runs all the time).

Rebooting got rid of the 1327 error.

The phantom script error recurred. Is there a tool I can use in addition to schedmgr.exe?

Should I possibly reinstall Acronis? I never had this problem before July 25.

I hadn't done this part before:
schedmgr service stop
schedmgr service uninstall
schedmgr service install
schedmgr service start

When I did it now, I got OK for stop, uninstall, install, but start got error:
C:\Program Files (x86)>schedmgr service start
service
start
Error: 2 (0x2) - File or reg item not found

and now have no scheduled tasks.
Cannot create new scheduled task because there is no C:\Program Files\Common FIles\Acronis\Schedule2\

I think reinstall Acronis is my best plan at this point.

That was pretty hairy. Acronis wasn't able to schedule a task - RPC service not available and it got itself in a snarl where it couldn't restore from my external hard drive. It was really messed up.

I finally had to do a System Restore to a few days ago; then I was able to use Acronis to restore from yesterday's image.

I do not recommend doing the schedmgr steps other than deleting task script. In particular, "schedmgr service uninstall" was disastrous for me.

Hi cnmoore,

I think I have a similar situation as you described it here. I deleted a scheduled phantom task with the help of the acronis tools and now I get the message: Scheduler failed to run task "Platten_C_D" with GUID 'C403AC9E-F517-46EE-89D1-6ADBBE14A30E' because of error 1327, Event code: 0x0009052F. But there is no information in the Acronis Support Center about event code 0x0009052F.

What is your advice for me: Reinstall Acronis or perform a system restore?

I use Acronis True Image 2010 on a Windows Vista system.

Regards
Bruno

I don't have any special qualifications to give advice - but judging from my experience, I'd say system restore, if you have a restore point from a time that it worked. You could perhaps mount an image from a time that it worked and copy the Acronis stuff from the mounted image. No guarantees on that, though. It isn't really clear to me exactly how I got it working again - so many attempts didn't pan out.

Tanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately my last backup from a correkt working system is several weeks ago and I don´t want to loose all my work in between.

I think I will experiment some time and if nothing works try a complete new Acronis setup.

Bruno
