True Image Home 2010 will not run when scheduled

Thread needs solution

Just purchased and installed True Image Home 2010 build 5.055.

I can create a backup task and it runs fine - but only in manual mode.

If I try to schedule it... the job errors out with the message:

"Error creating the file. "

If I check the log it says the path cannot be found.

Why does it find the path when it is run manually, but not when scheduled?

I know there have been problems with the scheduler in the past, but 2010 is a new version... has this been fixed yet?

I installed ATI2010 b5055 over the weekend. Previously used ATI2009 b9796. I uninstalled 2009, rebooted, and then installed 2010. I don't use scheduled tasks but just created one to see if I could duplicate your problem. Everything seemed to work just fine. No error messages. I didn't run the backup. Did you have a previous version installed?

Yes... but I uninstalled the old version and rebooted before installing 2010.

I'm running XP Pro SP3, what are you running.

Same thing. I'm no computer guru. Wish I could be more help. Maybe someone else could jump in. Oh - the only other thing I did was run CCleaner after rebooting and before installing 2010. There is an Acronis clean-up utility if you want to try the uninstall, reinstall again. Other than that, I'm not sure what to suggest.

Thanks for jumping in.

Anyway, I rebooted again and noticed that I was logged in as a local user... not a network user.  Same username in human terms but different to the software and the network...

i.e. logged in as local\<username> rather than domain\<username>

Once I logged in with the domain user, it ran fine.  When I configured the job, I entered the credentials for the network user for both the task itself, and the destination drive... but the mapping to the destination drive did not exist under the network username.  I created that as well, and things finally ran.
