True Image Home 2011 Update 2 no Windows standby/sleep mode

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I recently run the ATIH update build 6868 and noticed that my Windows 7 (64) no longer automatically goes into standby/sleep mode as it does before without any problems.

I did not add/change any hardware nor any of the Windows 7 energy plans setting that still is set to balanced.

However I can manually set my computer to standby without any problems.

Appreciate any help on how to troubleshoot.
Thanks

Check your task AND validation schedule windows. Unfold the advanced settings in each of them, you will see there is a checkbox to prevent the computer from sleeping during a backup. Maybe this explains that.

Thanks that seems to solve the trick.
Now that I disable that option Windows7 now goes to sleep.
Thanks!

Check now that your PC doesn't go to sleep while try to perform a backup; that might not be what you want.

Hello. It seems that since I installed Acronis my computer will not go into standby or sleep mode. The monitor and HD will shut down but power supply still run at all times. I have tried to disable “prevent computer from going to sleep/hibernate”, and “wake up the sleeping/hibernating computer” under advanced in the scheduler. But they will not stay disabled unless I have a backup scheduled. I backup my computer manually. How do I totally disable the prevent sleep command.? And is this the problem preventing my computer from sleeping/hibernating? Again before installing Acronis my computer would go into standby quite successfully, now it wont. Nothing else has been changed. My operating system is XP pro. Thank you.
