True Image Home 2012 Reset Folder
Hello Everybody,
I have two TIH backup jobs that have been working great for months. Recently they have been failing with message that they can't find or open the backup folder. So, I thought I would reset the folder in the drop-down box for the job. It already says the folder I want, so I choose browse and when I select the correct folder it says the file is already in use and gives the name of the backup I am currently on that I actually do want to use with that folder. So I change the folder to a different directory, hoping this reset it enough to allow me to then choose the folder I want, but when I choose that folder, it gives me the message that the file is already in use by a backup, but I am on the same backup job that created that file and I just want to continue the incremental backup. Is my ability to continue the incremental backup lost with this set of files? Because the backup operation is still failing. Or can you tell me how to make it work to continue?

Hello Joseph,
Have you opened the .tib file in Windows Explorer by double-clicking on it or maybe you mounted it? Even after you close it, Explorer still may hold reference to .tib contents and the file will be considered "in use".
A computer reboot would unlock the .tib file and then you could continue incremental backup.
You can also see what process is using .tib file with utilities like Process Explorer or Lock Hunter. In Process Explorer select Find - Find handle or DLL..., type just .tib or full name of .tib file, hit Enter. If you will be using Lock Hunter, right-click on .tib file in Windows Explorer and select "What is locking this file?".
Other things that you can try are to make a clean reinstallation of Acronis program with help of cleanup tool , change the name of the folder with .TIB, add them back to Acronis list of backups, define the schedule and other custom settings and click Backup now.
Regards,
Slava
