True Image for WD keeps freezing / hanging
I had been using the Seagate disc wizard on my older desktop PC running windows XP professional (sp3) but recently replaced the hard drive and the new one is a WD 160gb hard drive. I did manage to copy the image of the old hard drive onto the new hard drive using the WD recovery disc (since that software was already on another pc) but I am now trying to back up the computer using the Acronis True Image WD Edition and it just froze during the backup and every time I try to do so it freezes (or hangs up) and the backup fails. I never had this problem in the past when creating a backup using the seagate disc wizard backup program and do not understand why the problem keeps occurring with this program. I do have the Acronis True Image Home 2009 installed on my laptop and it does not hang or freeze during those backups (running vista home premium) . In fact, I also noticed that when I run the Acronis True Image for WD program it seems to hang alot and everything else pretty much comes to a halt as well. I have checked the task manager and when I try running it the cpu usage seems to jump up to 100%. The task manager will also frequently show that Acronis True Image WD Edition is "not responding" and clicking to end the task does not help.
Any suggestions would be so very much appreciated.
TIA

Thanks but I decided to go ahead and get the true image home 2011 software instead since I do have the true image home 2009 installed on another pc and really like all the options that are available with that. Although I will keep that in mind for the other pc running the Acronis True Image WD edition.
Thanks
