Truecrypt - barebones and file restore
Here's the problem.
We use Truecrypt. All of our machines use full disk encryption. We have just purchased one copy of Acronis Trueimage for testing.
We want to have encrypted backups.
If I want to do a bare bones restore from a true crypt disk do I have to use the disk backup option? Do I have to select sector by sector? It seems to take a very long time.
If I use the File backup option does that include the system state etc?
What have those needing the same solution done?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
If I choose option 2 - Backup from Windows.
If I understand you correctly you are saying that I don't need to select sector by sector?
Do I need a Truecrypt cd in addition to the recovery CD? If I understand correctly I don't because the data is backed up unencrypted until I choose the encrypt option from with Acronis.
Thanks again.

Option 2 doesn't need sector-by-sector because, as it's open in Windows, it is unencrypted and will be backed up as unencrypted.
Data in the .tib backup archive will be unencrypted, so can be opened with True Image.
