TrueImage 2011 hangs on initialisation (Loading...)

Thread needs solution

My nonstop backup hangs every day on "Error while parsing script".

The nonstop icon displays "Nonstop backup started".

When deleting the status of the backup (the "x" in the yellow area) TI hangs (the "loading-icon": no progress). The options (top right corner) still work.

The other options ("add backups") result in a real hang: "Not responding".

Please hand me a solution...

Are you sure it is hanging or is it a long lag 9 5- 30 seconds) between actions or mouse clicks?

The first semi-hang is permanent (CPU-time less than a few seconds); upper right options still available.

The second hang is real: Windows searching for a solution.

Okay, I was wondering if it was the same prob I was having on one of my machines, but it appears to be a diff prob.

Just shooting form the hip here, but have you tried turning off nonstop backup to see if that makes a diff? You can disable it in Windows Services.

Windows services takes a long time to fail with: "Error 1053: The service did not respond...".

I presume the TI-admin on the backup disc is corrupted (because of the parsing error with non-stop back-up?).

I would like to be able to remove the non-stop back-up off-line...

Use msconfig.exe to disable all non-microsoft services and all startup programs. Reboot. enter My computer, Manage Services and Applications, Services, then find Acronis Nonstop on the list of services. Right click it and select Disable. then open msconfig again and put a check on Normal Start-up, close msconfig and reboot. Nostop backup should not run anymore.

you can find aobut about using msconfg here:
